—THOUGHTS—

What if everything we knew of today
Diminished tomorrow?
All we have now
We really have no use for
It may all be gone before we wake
If we wake at all

What if the one person
You never would of imagined
Is the one
But you pass one another by
Like a routine played out
The thought may have crossed you
But how easy it was to dismiss it
I still believe the two will just know from the get
I believe they already do

What if we are actually in a dream
Perhaps in a coma somewhere
And all who cross us here
Are really other people in the hospital
Either visiting someone who shares the same room
Or play a completely different role in our lives
Over there

And when you hear your name being called
It is that special someone you are in love with
If the voice ceases
Does this mean they have given up?
Or did so many years pass, that
They have passed themselves?

What if I love you
Would you know it?
Or would you not even catch on?
Would you runaway then?
Would you feel the same?
I'd hope you'd stop running
Long enough for me to show you
Share those words with you
So you too can feel how I do

What if I think about you
Every day, you'd fill my thoughts
What if I could touch you with those thoughts
Do you believe you could actually feel them?
What if I know....
Maybe...just maybe I WANT you to
Would it be so bad?
I do not feel so
I feel that I would welcome you
